DO NOT GO ON STONEBRIDGE PONDS
Ice skating or walking on Michigan ponds is dangerous due to unpredictable ice thickness from fluctuating weather temperatures, currents, depth, and submerged objects, leading to risks of falling through, hypothermia, and drowning.

Going on ponds in Stonebridge is strongly discouraged due to these safety concerns.  North Pond (near the park) is very deep and is generally unsafe for skating throughout all of winter.  Skating can be incredibly dangerous on any pond within Stonebridge Community and should be avoided.

Please do not allow your guests or family members to put themselves at risk by going on our ponds.

If you see someone on the ice, call to them to come off.  If you see someone fall in, call 911.

Thank you for your attention to this important safety concern.

Sincerely,

Stonebridge Community Board of Directors
